To a solution of tert-butyl 4-((5-(2-(4-chloro-3-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-yl)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-imidazol-2-ylthio)methyl)-3,5-difluorophenylcarbamate (75 g, 0.12 mmol) in DCM (300 mL) was added TFA (300 mL) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was warmed to room temperature, stirred for 2 h and evaporated to give 4-((5-(2-(4-chloro-3-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-yl)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-imidazol-2-ylthio)methyl)-3,5-difluorobenzenamine as a light-pink foam (62 g, quant). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 7.65 (s, 1H), 7.20-7.23 (d, 1H), 6.92-6.96 (t, 2H), 6.41-6.50 (m, 6H), 3.91 (s, 2H), 3.79 (s, 3H), 1.58 (s, 6H).
