The title compound (1.2 g, 60%) was prepared from 2-methyl-4-oxo-3,4-dihydroquinazoline (1.0 g, 6.25 mmol) and 4-[2-bromoethoxy]nitrobenzene (1.69 g, 6.9 mmol) and K2CO3 (1.73 g, 12.5 mmol) as a base by a similar procedure to that described in preparation 1.
