In an analogous manner to that described in Example 13 (j) by cleavage of the BOC group using a solution of hydrogen chloride in methanol, starting from (3S,4R,5R)-3-hydroxymethyl-4-[4-[3-(2-methoxy-benzyloxy)-propoxy]-phenyl]-5-(4-methoxy-naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester [Example 13 (h)] there was obtained (3S,4R,5R)-[4-[4-[3-(2-methoxy-benzyloxy)-propoxy]-phenyl]-5-(4-methoxy-naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-piperidin-3-yl]-methanol as a colorless foam; MS: 572 (M+H)+.
