Procedure
4.0 g of 4N-benzyl-2-chloro-5-nitropyrimidineamine (Reference Example 2) is added to a solution of 3.0 g of 1H-tetrazol in 120 ml of acetonitrile. A mixture of 2.5 ml of triethylamine and 45 ml of acetonitrile is added dropwise to the solution. The reaction solution is stirred overnight and is concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain solid. The resulting solid is suspended in 3N sodium hydroxide solution for 1 hour, filtered and dried to obtain 3.80 g of the title compound.
