A solution of 125 (443 mg, 0.80 mmol) and NH4Cl (37 mg, 0.68 mmol) in 2:1 mixture of EtOH/water (10.5 mL) was treated with iron powder (380 mg, 6.79 mmol) and stirred at reflux for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was then filtered through a celite pad and concentrated to afford title compound 126 that was used without further purification (440 mg, 100% yield). MS (m/z): 525.2 (M+H).
