Product from Step F (8.93 g, 18.4 mmol), and 10% palladium on carbon (550 mg) were suspended in THF (200 mL)/water (20 mL) and placed under a hydrogen atmosphere (1 atm) for 7 hours. The reaction solution was filtered through a Celite pad and concentrated in vacuo to provide the title compound as a white foam which was sufficiently pure for use in the next step.
