Reaction Steps

Using General Procedure E; [4-(1-ethoxycyclopropyl)-3-tert-butyl-phenylethynyl]-triethylsilane (Intermediate 111, 215.0 mg, 0.69 mmol) in methanol (10 mL) was treated with potassium carbonate (80.0 mg, 0.58 mmol) and stirred overnight at ambient temperature. The crude alkyne, 169 mg, was used directly in the next reaction.
