Reaction Steps
3-Hexadecylthio-2-methoxymethylpropanol IV k3 is allowed to react and worked up by the same procedure as described in (4). The phthalimide compound m.p. 45° C. The summary of the experimental condition and the physical data of the product are listed in Tables 5 and 6.
