Procedure

A liquid mixture of 1.316 g (5 mmol) of 3-(2-quinolinylmethoxy)benzaldehyde, 0.901 g (5 mmol) of 7-amino-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzothiazin-3-one and 70 ml of EtOH was heated under reflux and stirring for 24 hours. The mixture was then allowed to cool down. The precipitate was collected by filtration, whereby 1.969 g of the title compound were obtained as pale yellow powder (yield: 92.3%).
