Reaction Steps
Prepared by the method described for Example 26 from 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-8-methoxy-5H-[1]benzopyrano[3,4-c]pyridin-5-one (3.46 g, 0.015 moles) and 1-chloro-2-propanone (2.0 g, 0.022 moles). Recrystallization from methanol gave the product (2.37 g), mp 123°-125° C.
