2,3-Diaminobenzoic acid (1; 222 mg, 1.5 mmol) and the corresponding 2-(difluoromethyl)-4-(2-morpholinoethoxy)benzaldehyde 124 were subjected to the same general procedure detailed above to afford 2-(2-(difluoromethyl)-4-(2-morpholinoethoxy)phenyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-7-carboxylic acid 125 (300 mg, 48%).
