A mixture of 6-benzyl-2-bromo-5-(1-{[2-(dimethylamino)-ethyl]amino}propyl)[1,3]thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-7(6H)-one (1-3, 1 equiv) and 10% Pd/C in ethanol is hydrogenated at 1 atm. for 3 h. The mixture is filtered and the filtrate is concentrated to provide 6-benzyl-5-(1-{[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]amino}propyl)[1,3]thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-7(6H)-one (1-4).
