An analogous reaction to Example 1b of 2.00 g (5.25 mmol) of 2-bromo-3-fluoro-5-(4-octyloxyphenyl)pyrazine (prepared as described in Example 1a-1c) and 1.31 g (5.25 mmol) of 4-octyloxyphenylboronic acid gives 1.96 g of 2-fluoro-3,6-bis (4-octyloxyphenyl)pyrazine. ##STR18## The compound has the following phase sequence:
