A mixture of 15B (2.0 g, 4.7 mmol), FeCl3.6H2O (6 g) in 1,4-dioxane (20 mL) was heated to 110° C. and reacted overnight. TLC monitored the reaction. After the reaction completed, the reaction mixture was added dropwise into water. The precipitated solids were collected by filtration to give 15C (1.2 g, 60.2% yield).
