Procedure

6-(4-Methoxybenzyl)-4-methyl-7-(1-(pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-ylamino)ethyl)-1,6-naphthyridin-5(6H)-one I-67 (60 mg, 0.13 mmol) was dissolved in trifluoroacetic acid (4 mL) in a sealed tube and the resulting mixture was stirred at 140° C. for 48 h. The mixture was allowed to cool to RT, quenched with water and then neutralized with saturated NaHCO3 aqueous solution. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate, washed with brine, dried with Na2SO4 and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to afford the product, 4-methyl-7-(1-(pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-ylamino)ethyl)-1,6-naphthyridin-5(6H)-one I-68. ESI-MS m/z: 333.2 [M+H]+.
