1-{4-Fluoro-5-(2-fluoropyridin-3-yl)-1-[(5-fluoropyridin-3-yl)sulfonyl]-1H-pyrrol-3-yl}-N-methylmethanamine hydrochloride (780 mg) was dissolved in saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate, and the mixture was extracted twice with ethyl acetate. Combined organic layers were washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by basic silica gel column chromatography (eluent: hexane-ethyl acetate=3:1→3:7) to give the title compound as a pale-yellow oil (yield 619 mg, 87%).
