Methyl 4-{(1S)-1-[({2,5-dichloro-4-[(3-chlorophenyl)(hydroxy)methyl]-3-thienyl}carbonyl)amino]ethyl}benzoate from Example 9, Step 1 (49.0 mg, 0.0982 mmol) was reacted under conditions similar to Example 1, Step 11. The reaction mixture was neutralized with 25% aq. NH4OAc (instead of an acidification with 1N HCl). The desired product was obtained as an off-white foam that was not further purified. MS (−ESI): m/z 482 (M−1)−.
