A solution of 3-bromo-6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine (1000 mg, 4.32 mmol) and allylamine (6.0 mL, 80 mmol) was heated at 80° C. (sealed tube) for 6 h. The resulting mixture was cooled to room temperature and purified on silica gel (eluting with ethyl acetate) to afford N-allyl-3-bromoimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-6-amine (550 mg, 51% yield) as a yellow solid: LRMS (ESI) m/z 253.0, 255.0 [(M+H)+, calcd for C9H9BrN4 252.0]
