To 1-(5-tert-butylisoxazol-3-yl)-3-{3-[6-methoxy-7-(2-methoxyethoxy)quinazolin-4-ylthio]phenyl}urea was added 1.0 M HCl in Et2O solution (2 eq.) in the manner described in Example 6B Step 2 to afford 1-(5-tert-butylisoxazol-3-yl)-3-{3-[6-methoxy-7-(2-methoxyethoxy)quinazolin-4-ylthio]phenyl}urea hydrochloride as solid (0.16 g, 80%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 9.65 (s, 1H), 9.23 (s, 1H), 8.72 (s, 1H), 7.85 (s, 1H), 7.52 (d, 1H), 7.44 (t, 1H), 7.38 (s, 1H), 7.36 (s, 1H), 7.28 (d, 1H), 6.49 (s, 1H), 4.34 (t, 2H), 4.01 (s, 3H), 3.76 (t, 2H), 3.34 (s, 3H), 1.28 (s, 9H); LC-MS (ESI) m/z 524 (M+H)+.
