Using the procedure described in Example 306A, to a solution of 3-isopropyl-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-amine (333 mg, 1.45 mmol) and potassium carbonate (261 mg, 1.89 mmol) in anhydrous DCM (5.3 ml) was added dropwise phenyl chloroformate (0.55 ml, 4.34 mmol) as a solution in DCM (3.5 ml). The crude was purified by silica gel chromatography (DCM/MeOH 0-10%) to afford phenyl 3-isopropyl-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-ylcarbamate (500 mg, 98%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.30 (d, J=7 Hz, 6H), 2.99 (m, 1H), 3.87 (s, 3H), 6.41 (s, 1H), 7.03 (d, J=9 Hz, 2H), 7.11-7.14 (m, 2H), 7.23-7.26 (m, 2H), 7.35-7.42 (m, 4H); LC-MS (ESI) m/z 352 (M+H)+.
