Procedure

A suspension of compound 28 (60 mg, (0.097 mmol), Pd(OH)2 (cat.), and aqueous Na2CO3 (0.5 mL) in ethanol (2.5 mL) was hydrogenated at 45 psi for 14 days. The mixture was filtered to removed solvents, and the resulting filtrate was purified by HPLC to provide the product 41 as a white solid. MS (ES): m/z 414 (M+H), 396, 261. Compound 41 is shown below.
