To a solution of ethyl(4-{(S)-[(tert-butylsulfinyl)amino][5-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)pyridin-2-yl]methyl}-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)acetate (0.285 mg, 0.615 mmol) in 5.0 ml of EtOH was added 2.0N HCl in Et2O (3.070 ml, 6.150 mmol), and the mixture was stirred at RT for 30 min. Solvent removed and the residue was dried under vacuum to give the crude title compound (0.260 g, 99%). ES-MS [M+1]+: 360.1. This intermediate was carried over to the next step without further purification and characterization.
