3-Chloro-4-fluorobenzoyl chloride (60 mg, 0.31 mmol, CAS RN 65055-17-6) was added to a solution of methyl-(4-o-tolyl-pyridin-3-yl)-amine (45 mg, 0.23 mmol, example 1, intermediate a) and DIPEA (79 μL, 0.45 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (1 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight and then loaded directly onto a silica gel column and eluted with 50% EtOAc in n-hexane to yield the product as a waxy solid (23 mg, 29%). MS (ESI): m/z=355.0 [M+H]+.
