A solution of N-methyl-6-(4-(methylsulfonyl)piperazin-1-yl)-4-o-tolylpyridin-3-amine (37 mg, 0.10 mmol) and DIPEA (50 μL, 0.29 mmol) in CH2Cl2 was treated with 3,5-bis-trifluoromethylbenzoyl chloride (43 mg, 0.15 mmol, CAS RN 1271-19-8). After stirring for 1 h, the reaction mixture was loaded directly onto a silica gel column. Elution with 50% EtOAc in n-hexane afforded the title compound as a yellow solid (48 mg, 80%). MS (ESI): m/z=601.0 [M+H]+.
