Procedure

In a 25 mL round bottom flask, (S)-ethyl 2-tert-butoxy-2-(7-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-methyl-2-(1-methyl-2-(1-methyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl)benzo[d]thiazol-6-yl)acetate 15 mg, 0.024 mmol) was dissolved in THF (1.5 mL) EtOH (0.7 mL) and water (0.5 mL). Then aqueous NaOH (2 N) (0.4 mL) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at 30° C. in oil bath for 17 h. The resulting reaction mixture was concentrated. The residue was purified on Gilson reverse phase HPLC with CH3CN and water (10 mL) to afford the product. LCMS-ESI+: calc'd for: C32H30ClN5O3S: 600.2, 602.2, 601.2 (M+H+); Found: 600.3, 602.3, 601.3 (M+H+). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 8.03 (d, J=0.8 Hz, 1H), 7.99 (dd, J=1.6, 0.8 Hz, 1H), 7.93-7.88 (m, 1H), 7.83 (s, 1H), 7.67-7.58 (m, 3H), 7.50 (dd, J=8.6, 2.3 Hz, 1H), 7.42 (ddd, J=8.3, 5.5, 2.2 Hz, 2H), 5.01 (s, 1H), 4.03 (d, J=0.7 Hz, 3H), 3.75 (s, 3H), 2.55 (s, 3H), 0.82 (s, 9H).
