To a solution of cis-4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-amine (10 mg, 0.034 mmol) (Intermediate 16) and 3-methoxy-1-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-4-carbonyl chloride (Intermediate 12A) (6.90 mg, 0.034 mmol) in DCM (1 mL) was added Et3N (0.014 mL, 0.10 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h. The reaction mixture was quenched with H2O and DCM. The DCM portion was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and the solvent removed under reduced pressure to give Example 8A which was used without further purification.
