Procedure
To a suspension of 180 mg (0.76 mmol) of 4-hydroxy-3-phenyl-2H-isoquinolin-1-one in methanol (6 mL), 315 mg (2.28 mmol) of potassium carbonate and 1901 (2.28 mmol) of 1-bromo-2-chloroethane were added and the mixture was submitted to microwaves at 120° C. for 10 min. The solvent was concentrated under reduced pressure and the resulting crude was purified by flash chromatography (eluant: ethyl acetate/hexane 1/2) affording 100 mg of the title compound (44%).
