Methyl (2S,4R)-1-Boc-4-[(methylsulfonyl)oxy]pyrrolidine-2-carboxylate (9 g, 27.86 mmol) obtained in Step C was dissolved in DMF (80 ml) and NaN3 (2.7 g, 41.79 mmol) was added thereto and stirred at 90° C. for 10 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo, extracted with EtOAc. The organic extracts were washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (eluent, EtOAc/Hex=1/4) to give the title compound (6 g, 80%).
