[3-(2-Formyl-4-trifluoromethyl-phenoxy)-phenyl]-acetic acid (0.12 g, 0.37 mmol), (1R,2S)-(−)-norephedrine (0.056 g, 0.37 mmol), and sodium triacetoxyborohydride (0.12 g, 0.56 mmol) were combined in CH2Cl2 (10 mL) and stirred for 2 hours. After work-up, 0.15 g of the desired product was obtained.
