(3-{2-[((1S,2R)-2-Hydroxy-1-methyl-2-phenyl-ethylamino)-methyl]-4-trifluoromethyl-phenoxy}-phenyl)-acetic acid (0.15 g, 0.33 mmol), N,N′-carbonyldiimidazole (0.065 g, 0.4 mmol), and diisopropylethylamine (1 mL) were combined in 1,4-dioxane (5 mL) and stirred at 80° C. overnight. After work-up, the crude material was purified by preparative HPLC to give the desired product (0.04 g).
