To {3-ethyl-6-methoxy-5-[2-methoxy-4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl]pyrazin-2-yl}[(4-methoxyphenyl)methyl]amine (115 mg, 0.25 mmol) in methanol (3 mL) under a nitrogen atmosphere is added 1 M hydrochloric acid in ether (2 mL) and 10% palladium on carbon (40 mg). The mixture is then hydrogenated at 1 ATM for 18 h, filtered through Celite and evaporated to give 3-ethyl-6-methoxy-5-[2-methoxy-4-(trifluoromethoxy) phenyl]pyrazin-2-ylamine (80 mg).
