Procedure
Concentrated hydrochloric acid (1 mL) was added to a mixture of 8-benzyl-3-mesityl-2,5-dimethyl-7,8-dihydro-6H-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrrolo[3,2-e]pyrimidine (4.7 g) which is a free compound of the compound prepared in Example 26, water-containing 5% palladium carbon (3.0 g) and ethanol (300 mL), followed by stirring at room temperature for two days in hydrogen atmosphere. After filtering through Celite, the filtrate was evaporated, which was neutralized with an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate. The resulting solid was filtered, and dissolved in a mixed solution of dichloromethane, methnol and ethyl acetate. After filtering off the insoluble matter, the mixture was purified by silica gel column cromatography (10-67% ethyl acetate/hexane), to give the title compound as white crystals (2.6 g). 1.0 g of a raw material was recovered.
