Reaction Steps
1.2 g of a 35% strength aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution are added to a solution of 3 g of 3-(3,3-dimethyl-perhydro-1,4-thiazin-4-yl)-sydnone imine hydrochloride (step g of Example 14) at room temperature with stirring, whereupon the temperature rises somewhat. The mixture is stirred for 2 hours and then concentrated in a water jet vacuum and the residue is recrystallized from ethyl acetate. Yield: 2.5 g; m.p.: 192° C. (dec.).
