Procedure
Ethyl 2-carboxy-3-methyloxiranecarboxylate (5.09 grams, 0.03 mole), prepared in Part B, 4-bromo-2-methylaniline (5.44 grams, 0.03 mole) and 1,3-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (6.03 grams, 0.03 mole) were reacted in a manner similar to that described in Example LVII to give 4.72 grams (0.014 mole) of N-(4-bromo-2-methylphenyl)-2-ethoxycarbonyl-3-methyloxiranecarboxamide having a melting point of 57° C.-60° C.
