Procedure
To 8.0 g of 3,4-dihydro-3-(2-chlorophenyl)-6-chlorosulfonyl-2-methyl-4-oxothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine were added 150 ml of dichloromethane, 3.3 g of 4-acetylaminobutylamine and 5.9 ml of triethylamine, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. After the reaction mixture was washed with water, the concentrated residue was purified by means of silica gel chromatography to obtain 5.71 g of oily substance, which was crystallized from ethyl acetate-hexane to afford 4.44 g of the title compound, m.p. 203°-206° C. (decomposition).
