Using General Procedure A: To a stirred solution of 4-{[(1H-Benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-quinolin-8-yl)-amino]-methyl}-benzaldehyde (0.285 g, 0.72 mmol) in dry MeOH (5 mL) was added morpholine (0.068 mL, 0.78 mmol) and sodium cyanoborohydride (0.107 g, 1.7 mmol) and the mixture stirred at room temperature for 24 h. Purification of the crude product by radial chromatography on a 2 mm TLC grade silica gel plate (CH2Cl2/MeOH/NH4OH, 100:1:1) afforded the desired product (23 mg, 7%) as a colourless oil.
