5-(1-(t-butoxycarbonyl)piperidin-4-yl)-7-(2-(1(S)-phenylethyl)amino-4-pyridyl)-8-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-c]pyrimidine (0.03 g, 0.05 mmol) and trifluoroacetic acid (1 ml) were combined in methylene chloride (5 ml) and maintained at room temperature for 24 hours. The solution was concentrated and the residue was partitioned between methylene chloride and 10% sodium carbonate. The organic layer was separated, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and the solvent evaporated to give the product as a syrup; MS m/z (M+H)+ 544.1; C30H28F3N7 require 543.2.
