0.310 g (0.679 mmol) of N-[3-chloro-4-(2-diethylamino-ethoxy)-phenyl]-2-(2-chloro-4-nitro-phenoxy)-acetamide (from Example 66) was dissolved in 10.0 mL of EtOAc. After the addition of 0.030 g Pt/C (5%) the mixture was hydrogenated at RT under 15 psi H2 atmosphere for 5 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate was evaporated down i. vac. The residue was dissolved with a little EtOH. The precipitate formed was filtered off and dried i. vac.
