(1R*,2R*,3R*)-2-methoxymethyl-1-(methoxy-methyl-carbamoyl)-3-phenyl-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid t-butyl ester (30 mg, 0.086 mmol) was dissolved in 1 mL of trifluoroacetic acid and 1 mL of dichloromethane. After stirring at room temperature for 2 hours, the reaction mixture was concentrated and azeotroped with toluene. The product was dried under high vacuum before use.
