Procedure

Treatment of 2-bromochlorobenzene (15.5 g, 80.6 mmol) with 2-chloro-6-methoxybenzene boronic acid (5.0 g, 26.8 mmol) in DME-water (5:1, 250 mL) according to the procedure described for Example 69, Step 1 provided 5.0 g (74%) of 2.2′-dichloro-6-methoxybiphenyl as a colorless oil.
