Treatment of 3-allyl-2′,4′-dichloro-6-fluorobiphenyl-2-ol (1.1 g, 3.70 mmol) with dichlorobis(acetonitrile)palladium (II) (0.15 g, 0.58 mmol) in methylene chloride (50 mL) according to the procedure described for Example 69, Step 5 provided 0.8 g (73%) of 2′,4′-dichloro-6-fluoro-3-(prop-1-enyl)biphenyl-2-ol as a pale yellow oil.
