Reaction Steps

To a solution of 2-(3-{3-[[2-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl](2-acetoxy-2-phenyl-ethyl)amino]propoxy}-phenyl)acetic acid in ethyl ether was added HCl in diethyl ether (1.0M). The suspension was filtered and dried to give the title compound as a white solid (99%). NMR(400 MHz, CD3OD) δ: 7.8 (m, 3H), 7.3 (s, 5H), 7.1 (t, J=4.0 Hz, 1H), 6.7 (m, 3H), 6.1 (m, 1H), 4.0 (m, 2H), 3.6-3.4 (m, 7H), 2.2 (m, 2H), 1.9 (s, 3H), 1.1 (t, J=4.2 Hz, 2H).
