A mixture of {3-[4-(toluene-4-sulfonyloxy)butyl]phenyl}acetic acid methyl ester, (2,2-diphenylethyl)-(2-chloro-3-trifluoromethylbenzyl)amine (73 mg, 0.19 mmol), and potassium carbonate (26 mg, 0.21 mmol) in acetonitrile (5 ml) was stirred and heated to 50° C. for 5 hr. The reaction was cooled, diluted with water, and extracted with diethyl ether. The organic extracts were washed with water, dried, and the solvent removed. The residue was chromatographed over silica gel (hexane/methylene chloride/Diethyl ether:60/40/5) to give the title compound as an oil (35 mg, 31%). MS (ESI) 594.2 (M+H)+.
