Reaction Steps
Methyl 2-(5,6-dihydro-5-methyl-11-oxodibenz[b,e]azepin-2-yl)propionate (2.0 g), chloroform (50 ml) and N-chlorosuccinimide (1.4 g) were treated in the same manner as described in Example 9 to obtain the desired compound (1.7 g) as a yellow oily material.
