Reaction Steps
15.7 g. (0.05 mol) of 4-hydroxy-3,8-diphenyl-coumarin are treated, as in Example 8, with 9.7 g. (0.065 mol) of 1-chloro-2-morpholinoethane. After recrystallisation from isopropanol, 16 g. are obtained. M.P. 106°-108° C. Yield 75% (theoretical yield 21.3 g.).
