Reaction Steps
Ethyl benzoate (0.1 mol) and AlCl3 (anhydrous) (0.1 mol) were added to n-hexane (100 ml), followed by heating the mixture at 68° C. for 30 minutes, cooling, filtering off, washing with n-hexane and drying to obtain a reaction product (G) of ethyl benzoate--AlCl3 (1:1).
