Procedure
A mixture of ethyl 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-(4-((diethylamino)methyl)phenyl)-4-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline-5-carboxylate (268 mg) in 85% hydrazine monohydrate (0.5 mL) and methanol (2 mL) was stirred at 23° C. for overnight. Methanol was removed under reduced pressure. The crude was purified by prep-HPLC to give the title compound (93 mg, yield 37%). LC-MS (ESI) m/z: 459 (M+1)+. 1H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ (ppm): 0.93 (t, 6H), 2.38 (q, 4H), 3.44 (s, 2H), 4.35 (d, 1H), 4.73 (d, 1H), 7.13-7.19 (m, 5H), 7.22-7.25 (m, 4H), 7.38 (d, 2H), 7.41 (s, 1H), 7.56-7.59 (m, 1H).
