Caesium carbonate (0.08 g, 0.24 mmol) and 5-methyl-[1,3,4]thiadiazol-2-ylamine (0.031 g, 0.27 mmol) are added to a solution of 4-(2-chloro-4-methyl-thiazol-5-yl)-benzenesulfonamide (25d) (0.07 g, 0.24 mmol) in dimethylacetamide (2 ml). The mixture is heated with stirring at 110° C. for 18 hours. After adding more 5-methyl-[1,3,4]thiadiazol-2-ylamine (0.056 g, 0.49 mmol) heating is continued at 130° C. for an additional 8 hours. The solvent is removed and the product is purified by chromatography on silica eluting with ethyl acetate to give an orange solid. Trituration with ethyl acetate-methanol affords the title compound as a yellow solid (0.0081 g)
