Procedure
KOH (15 ml of a solution of 0.26 g in 25 ml ethanol) was added to 1-Methyl-5-(2-phenyl-imidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidin-7-ylcarbamoyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (Example 83), and the mixture was heated to reflux overnight. The mixture was cooled to r.t. and acidified with HCl (25%, 0.7 ml). The precipitate was filtered, washed with a small amount of ethanol, and dried under vacuum. The obtained title compound was used without further purification in the next step. MS (m/e)=363.2 [M+H+].
