Procedure

A MeCN solution of cyclohexane-1,3-dione 2.24 g (0.02 mol) i and DMF-DMA 11.9 g (0.1 mol) was stirred at room temperature for 4 h. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the product was used for the next step with no purification.
